At 35 years of age, Jamie Vardy has prompted many to wonder whether he has left Leicester City.
The veteran striker is currently one of the oldest players in the Premier League.
Joining Leicester in 2012, the former England international has played for the club for a decade now.
Famously, Vardy was key to the Foxes beating the odds and winning the Premier League during the 2015/2016 season.
To this day, it remains unbelievable that Jamie Vardy and Co. led Leicester to a league title.
So much so that 6 years from when Claudio Ranieri’s men made history, it is still hailed as one of, if not the greatest achievement in sport, period.

And during that season, it was the now-ageing forward who struck an impressive 24 goals in the league, just two behind Golden Boot winner and Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero.
Pep Guardiola labeled the 2021 FA Cup winner as in and amongst some of the “best strikers” around (via BBC’s Simon Stone and relayed by City Xtra) while likening ex-City youngster Ferran Torres to him, which shows just how well-respected he is within the game.
Vardy was part of the England squad under manager Gareth Southgate previously, but he was not selected for 2022 and was not considered seriously for selection.
This has prompted Three Lions supporters to wonder what he is up to now.
Has Jamie Vardy left Leicester?
Simply put, the answer is no.
Jamie Vardy still plays for Leicester City and is still regarded as the club’s leading striker.
In fact, in August 2022, the experienced goalscorer signed a two-year contract extension with Leicester till 2024, as per Sky Sports.
This season, Vardy has started 8 out of 16 Premier League games for Brendan Rodgers’ side, owing to his declining fitness and rotation.
Will Vardy leave Leicester in 2023?
It would come as a major surprise if Jamie Vardy left Leicester anytime soon, especially in 2023.
While there is no denying that the club legend’s role is diminishing over time, he remains the side’s most reliable source of goals.
Also, it is custom for any legendary player at a club to see out his contract and be handed an emotional farewell, as a reward for their excellent service to the team.
The same is expected with Jamie Vardy, unless he decides to leave Leicester before his contract expires.
