Given the 27-year-old’s quality and experience, it would be a great move for the Hoops to sign him on a free transfer.
The Uruguay international striker, though, seems to hold Hull dear to his heart and has posted the following message on social networking site Twitter.

Clue on future?
Hernandez’s post on Twitter could be an indication that he wants to stay at Hull next season.
After all, the Tigers could well be challenging for the Championship playoffs during the 2018-19 campaign.
The Uruguay international striker has scored seven goals and provided one assists in eight Championship starts for Hull so far this season.
During the 2016-17 campaign, Hernandez scored four goals and provided three assists in 16 Premier League starts for the Tigers.
Hernandez joined Hull from Palermo in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10 million.
