Paul Merson has praised Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on SportsKeeda and has backed Antonio Conte’s side to win against West Ham United this weekend.
The former Arsenal star believes that England international striker Kane has really stepped up his game under Tottenham head coach Conte.
The Sky Sports pundit thinks that Spurs will get better of London rivals West Ham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Merson has predicted Tottenham to win 3-1 against West Ham at home.
Praise for Kane under Conte at Tottenham
The Englishman wrote on SportsKeeda: “This is a massive London derby and could have a few goals in it. Spurs, in my opinion, were the better team against Manchester United despite losing, so I fancy them to win this one.
“Harry Kane is back in red-hot form and has really stepped up and delivered under Antonio Conte, but was there ever any doubt about the Englishman’s ability?
“When Conte came in, a lot of people referred to him as a defensive coach with a rather negative brand of football. However, what’s important is that Conte’s center forwards always score goals.
“Be it Diego Costa at Chelsea or Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan, that has always been the case and it has seemingly continued at Tottenham with Kane.
“The cream always rises to the top, so I don’t find it surprising that Kane’s found his shooting boots at the business end of the season. He’s a top player and is flourishing under a fantastic coach.”

Impressive
In our view, Kane is getting back to his best under Conte and is now banging in the goals quite regularly for Tottenham.
Conte’s side are very much in the running for the Premier League top four this season, and Kane is a big reason for that.
The 28-year-old striker has made 26 starts and one substitute appearances in the league for Tottenham so far this season.
Kane has scored 12 goals and given three assists in those games.
Both Tottenham and West Ham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
The London derby between Tottenham and West Ham this weekend promises to be hugely exciting.
