Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window, according to O Jogo.
The report has claimed that Tottenham have already enquired about the 23-year-old midfielder.
Sporting have told Tottenham that they need to pay €40 million (33.58 million) to secure the services of the Portugal international midfielder.
Matheus Nunes would make Tottenham better
In our view, Nunes would be a good signing for Tottenham and would make Antonio Conte’s side.
Yes, €40 million (33.58 million) is a lot of money for a 23-year-old, but Nunes is a gem who would get better and develop his game further in the coming years.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva are among those who have been hugely impressed by Nunes.

Nunes has made 24 starts and two substitute appearances in the Portuguese league so far this season.
The Sporting no. 8 has scored two goals and given two assists in those games.
Nunes has also given two assists in six Champions League games this campaign.
The youngster is a very dynamic central midfielder who can impose himself in the middle of the park and can also push the team forward.
