Graham Roberts has sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale on Twitter after his hat-trick at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening.

Tottenham have eased past Sheffield United 4-0 at home in the Premier League this evening.

Bale, who returned to Spurs on loan from Real Madrid last summer, scored a brilliant hat-trick.

The Wales international winger found the back of the net in the 36th, 61st and 69th minute.

According to WhoScored, the 31-year-old has made eight starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in the process.

Bale made seven starts and three substitute appearances in the Europa League for Tottenham this campaign, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Bale is scheduled to return to his parent club Madrid at the end of the season, and former Spurs star Roberts has said that he would love to see the Wales international stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond the summer.

Bale has a contract at Madrid, who may want the Wales international winger to be part of their squad for next season.

The winger himself may fancy playing for the Spanish and European giants again and fulfilling his contract.

There are a lot of variables, such as whether Spurs finish in the Premier League top four and whether Madrid would want to sell Bale this summer.

The future of Bale will not be decided for a few more weeks at least.
