Graham Hunter has claimed that former Everton player Mohamed-Ali Cho is a ‘superstar in the making’ after he impressed for Real Sociedad during their 2-1 defeat to Getafe on Sunday.

The Spanish football expert told La Liga TV that Momo Cho is a ‘top-class’ performer after the 18-year-old provided back-to-back assists for his team.

In 2020, without a single appearance to his name, Momo Cho headed for the Everton exit door and signed on the dotted line for Ligue 1 side, Angers.

That road then led him to make a transfer to Real Sociedad, during the recently-concluded window, and it’s fair to say he is already shining.

After assisting last week during his side’s 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid, he was adding another to his name on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough as Imanol Alguacil’s side fell to a defeat.

Nonetheless, La Liga expert Hunter loves what he sees from the all-action forward and he thinks he is already a ‘top-class’ player.

“Mohamed-Ali Cho is a superstar in the making,” said Hunter. “That’s him giving the assist for Brais Mendez.

“That youngster is absolutely top class.”

PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS LURKING

Well, prior to Momo Cho heading to Spain, there was Premier League interest in the rising wonderkid.

Tottenham and Liverpool were the teams seemingly keen on the teenager’s services, but he opted for regular minutes and moved to La Liga.

It was the right call from the player because it will help with his progression, especially given that Alexander Isak has just left for Newcastle United.
