What have the two Argentinians shown in their limited opportunities for Tottenham Hotspur?

The November international break is a checkpoint which signals that we are roughly a third of the way through the season.
This is, in most cases, a long enough time for judgements to be made on the millions of pounds worth of summer signings.
Here we take a closer look at Tottenham Hotspur’s two Argentine arrivals – Juan Foyth and Paulo Gazzaniga.
Juan Foyth

The 19-year-old was plucked from hometown club Estudiantes de La Plata with an eye firmly on the future, hence why he has yet to feature for Tottenham in the Premier League.
His two starts have both come in the Carabao Cup have shown that he has the composure and technique to play in a Mauricio Pochettino team, but he may have to bulk up slightly to be a success in English football.
Andy Carroll’s physicality caused a few problems for Foyth in West Ham United’s 3-2 comeback win, and that may be a concern about the youngster, but it is too early for a definitive verdict.

Paulo Gazzaniga

The former Southampton stopper may not have been expecting to play in the first team all season when he joined as third choice behind Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.
But he was thrust into action at Wembley on Sunday and produced a man-of-the-match performance to help Tottenham pick up a crucial victory over Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old’s saves from Scott Dann, Andros Townsend and Luka Milivojevic proved that he can be relied upon if injury strikes Pochettino’s goalkeeping ranks again.
