Liverpool fans noticed that Alisson was almost inadvertently taken out by a supporter at full-time last night.
What’s the story?
As Liverpool went over to the away end to applaud their travelling fans and celebrate their 4-1 victory, some people had taken the opportunity to go on to the pitch.
They were quickly dealt with by some alert Everton stewards and thankfully no damage was done – but Alisson was more fortunate than most.
As one supporter ran near the Liverpool players he was rugby tackled by a steward, but the impact nearly took him into the Reds goalkeeper.
Thankfully Alisson saw what was coming and side-stepped the incident.
But Liverpool fans were grateful that no damage was done to the £66 million Brazilian (Daily Mail), after seeing the incident play out at around the 10 second mark of the video posted by James Pearce last night.
Past injury problems
Liverpool fans, of course, were wary of injury issues cropping up at Goodison Park.
Last season the Merseyside derby had a massively detrimental impact on their season, as both Virgil van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara picked up long-term injury issues during the game.
Liverpool came through yesterday’s game unscathed though, as they picked up a 4-1 win.
Two goals from Mohamed Salah and a strike a piece from Diogo Jota and Jordan Henderson provided Liverpool with the three points which keeps them right in contention at the top of the table.
