Google have been getting involved in the World Cup this summer by posting a series of different animations.
To celebrate Spain becoming two-time world champions after they beat Argentina in the final, the company paid homage to the European nation.
As well as adding their second star to the top of their crest, they have also celebrated in another way.
Google create firework animation for Spain’s World Cup win
An animation of Erling Haaland on Google went viral where he was depicted as a Norwegian viking rowing.
Another one of Spanish defender Marc Cucurella also went viral in which he appeared to look like a cat.
In the latest edition, if you type Spain into Google you will be met with fireworks on the screen as well as a congratulatory message for La Roja.
Although the game didn’t provide any sort of fireworks, Spain deserved the celebrations.
Ferran Torres praises Spanish people for role in Argentina win
One man who will be remembered as a hero in Spain forever is Torres. The forward’s goal was the difference in the end and he said that the support of the Spanish people was enough to get them over the finish line.
He said: “I think in the end the goal came from 47 million people, not just those of us that are here.
“Today, destiny was written, it was made for us to win. We’re far from our people today but we tried to be as close as possible to them.
“Finals are hard. When you have (Lionel) Messi on the opposing team you do get worried, but we always backed ourselves and tried to show our football and I think we managed to do it once again.
“I’ve been criticised throughout the whole tournament but, as I said before, destiny was written. Thanks to God, he always gives me the strength to continue and in the end he grants things to those that most deserve them.”
