Erling Haaland has taken the world by storm and has been celebrated by Google with a viking row celebration days before Norway’s World Cup quarter-final against England.

Haaland teased the animation on his social media, writing on X: “One thing to do today… search my name on Google” with wink-faced emoji.

The Manchester City striker has seven goals at the World Cup and firmly in the race for the golden boot alongside Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi and his fame is being taken to new levels.

How to find the Erling Haaland Google animation?

In order to spot the Haaland animation you can find it by typing ‘Erling Haaland’ into the Google search bar.

What will then come up is a series of Nordic vikings rowing as homage to the 25-year-old.

If you turn the sound on you will also hear the sound of him shouting Ro with a drumbeat in the background, similar to the one that Martin Odegaard used after Norway’s round of 16 win against Brazil.

Erling Haaland reminds Wayne Rooney of England vs Norway promise

One person who may also be rowing is Wayne Rooney.

Ahead of the showdown in Miami this weekend, Rooney vowed to row down the River Mersey following the Norwegian’s surprise win against Brazil.

I’m looking forward to seeing Wayne, Wayney boy. I’m looking forward to seeing Wayne Rooney rowing down in Liverpool,” Haaland said in the build-up. “That’s all I want to see now. Wayne Rooney, I expect you to go out on a rowing trip.”

Rooney admitted he would stick to the promise but admitted he will be doing it in New York rather than Liverpool. We can’t wait to see it either.
