Yannick Bolasie has taken to Twitter to react after Everton announced the appointment of Rafa Benítez on a three-year contract.
What did Yannick Bolasie say?
Instead of writing anything about the Spaniard, Bolasie decided to focus on Everton’s decision to keep Duncan Ferguson around.
Benítez will work alongside the Scot, instead of bringing his own assistant to Goodison Park as many managers would’ve done.
Bolasie believes that was a ‘very important’ move from the Toffees, and went on to heap praise on Ferguson.
You can see the 32-year-old’s tweets below.
By the sounds of it, Ferguson is a great No.2, and really cares about every player at Everton – even if they’re not in the starting XI.
Crucial for Rafa Benítez

Benítez isn’t exactly a stranger to Merseyside, but he is most certainly a stranger to being on the blue side of the Goodison Park dugout.
In that respect – as Bolasie states – Ferguson’s role will be key to helping the Spaniard settle in at Everton, and also getting to grips with his squad.
It’s also admirable on Ferguson’s part that he’s decided to stay on.

There were reports claiming that Ferguson wanted to be Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement.
Despite being ignored on that front, it’s commendable on his part that he’s stuck around and hasn’t kicked up a fuss about that rejection.
Hopefully, Benítez and Ferguson can bring the good times back to Goodison Park.
