Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino has suggested that the club could sell forward Gerard Deulofeu amid reported interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to Corriere dello Sport (print edition, page 17, June 13, 2022), Tottenham are interested in signing former Everton and Watford attacker Deulofeu from Udinese in the summer transfer window.
Romano quotes Marino as saying: “Nahuel Molina and Gerard Deulofeu could leave the club in case we receive a good proposal.”
Gerard Deulofeu encouragement for Tottenham Hotspur
In our view, Pierpaolo Marino’s comments on Gerard Deulofeu are very encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur.
They suggest that if Tottenham make a good offer, then Watford will sell him.

According to Corriere dello Sport (print edition, page 17, June 13, 2022), Udinese are willing to sell the Spanish star for €18 million (£15.45m).
If that is what it takes to the 28-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, then Tottenham should at least make an offer, if indeed they are keen on him.
Deulofeu made 127 appearances in the Premier League during his time in England.
The Spanish attacker scored 20 goals and created 25 big chances in those games.
During the 2021-22 season, Deulofeu played mainly as a centre-forward for Udinese.
The 28-year-old scored 13 goals and gave five assists in 31 Serie A starts.
