Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Udinese forward Gerard Deulofeu in the summer transfer window, according to Corriere dello Sport (print edition, page 17, June 13, 2022).
The Italian publication has reported that Tottenham are among the clubs keen on securing the services of the former Everton and Watford attacker.
Napoli, Real Sociedad and Villarreal are also interested in the Spaniard, according to the report, which has added that Udinese are willing to sell him for €18 million (£15.46m)
Should Tottenham Hotspur pay £15.5m for Gerard Deulofeu?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should not sign Gerard Deulofeu from Udinese in the summer transfer window.
Yes, the Spaniard has played in the Premier League with Everton and Watford, and his price-tag is quite modest.
However, we do not think that the 28-year-old would make Conte’s Tottenham that much stronger.

The Spaniard would be a squad player at Tottenham and would not able to break the front-three of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski.
Deulofeu made 127 appearances in the Premier League.
The Udinese star, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, scored 20 goals and created 25 big chances in those games.
During the 2021-22 season, Deulofeu played mainly as a centre-forward for Udinese.
The 28-year-old scored 13 goals and gave five assists in 31 Serie A starts.
