Antonio Conte praises Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli

Conte told Football.London about Alli: “Also, Dele, if we play with a 3-5-2, he’s a midfielder that is good physically, strong physically, good technique, good penetration because he has the right ability to attack. He had chances to score but good performance.”

Tottenham future?

Conte clearly rates Alli, and the 25-year-old repaid his manager’s faith with a really impressive performance for Tottenham against Liverpool.

Alli made some brilliant runs, linked up well with fellow attacking players, and was denied from scoring by a wonderful save from Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

The midfielder took one shot, played one key pass, attempted four dribbles, and made four clearances.

The Athletic reported only last week that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici have decided to let Dele Alli leave in January.

Now, of course, anything could happen in the coming weeks, but Alli showed against Liverpool that maybe Levy should give him some more time before making a final decision.
