This year, Caves Valley Golf Club will host the event, which comes right after Justin Rose’s playoff win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Rose clinched his win over J.J. Spaun in a playoff, while Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood finished tied for third.

The full field is now set for the BMW Championship, including Rory McIlroy, who missed the opening event of the playoffs.

McIlroy currently sits second in the standings behind Scheffler, with just one more event left after this before it wraps up at East Lake Golf Club.

Golfer who defeated Tiger Woods at 2024 Masters Earns PGA Tour Card

While the focus remains on this season’s events, one player has already earned his spot on the 2026 PGA Tour.

Neal Shipley locked up his card during his rookie year on the Korn Ferry Tour, picking up two wins along the way.

The 24-year-old picked up wins at The Ascendant presented and the LECOM Suncoast Classic and has now posted five consecutive top-10 finishes.

Neal Shipley talks about sharing the course with Tiger Woods at The Masters

Even so early in his career, the American has already had a taste of the spotlight, taking on one of golf’s biggest stages.

He played alongside Tiger Woods at the 2024 Masters and even managed to outperform him at Augusta.

Shipley was the only amateur to make it through to the weekend and earned himself a Sunday pairing with Woods as a result.

Woods ended up finishing 60th after posting a final round five-over, while Shipley closed with a one-over to finish T53 on 12-over overall.

The Ohio State graduate reflected on that experience: “Playing with Tiger, Sunday at the Masters, the whole week, I think I have to win one of these things to kind of top this week.”

“He’s such a normal guy and really cool. He was great to me all day. Couldn’t be more appreciative of him just being awesome today, and it was just really cool to be around him and just the attention he gets and the roars. The crowds were phenomenal.”
