Scottie Scheffler let loose at his caddie on day one of The Memorial on Thursday.
Scheffler played his first nine holes in two-under par on Thursday, before everything started to go wrong on his back nine.
The 29-year-old world number one made bogeys on 10 and 14 and dropped back to even-par as he walked to the 16th tee at Muirfield Village.
That’s when things started to go from bad to worse for Scottie Scheffler.

The Dallas native pulled his tee shot into the water and ended up making a double bogey, falling back to two-over par on day one of The Memorial Tournament.
He did manage to shoot 73 in the end after finishing birdie, par.
Scheffler went straight to the range after his opening round at The Memorial and worked hard on fixing whatever issue he had out on the golf course.
However, it was Scheffler’s angry outburst directed at his caddie that stole all the headlines on Thursday.
Golf fans react to Scottie Scheffler’s angry outburst at The Memorial
After Scheffler found the water with his tee shot on 16, he embarked on an angry tirade directed at Ted Scott, accusing him of getting the wind direction wrong.
It wasn’t pleasant viewing, and Scheffler certainly didn’t cover himself in glory at Muirfield Village on Thursday.
And numerous golf fans took to social media to criticize him for his actions.
One golf fan said: “I don’t get unloading on a caddie. You’re top twenty in the world and you can’t read the wind? What am I missing?“
And the comments kept coming, with fans stating: “Scottie really unloading on Ted like that on camera? Dude you hit the shot. Own it. Becoming a bit of a crybaby,“ and, “I don’t understand why he can’t read his own wind? Isn’t he good enough to do so?“

“Been watching professional golf for nearly 30 years, and that was one of the wildest things I’ve ever witnessed,“ another fan exclaimed.
While one golf fan said: “I cannot remember a top player going on like that chirping their caddie for 15 mins straight as it’s all being televised in a featured group at a big tournament.“
Other comments stated: “Tantrum Scottie is unbearable. Petulant child,“ and, “I’m sorry I’m going to say this… this guy is pretentious and entitled (I hate that word).“
“Too much emphasis put on a caddie. How about he takes ownership!! It’s not rocket science to figure out the wind,“ another golf fan fumed.
Criticism of Scottie Scheffler’s behavior gathers pace
The online criticism of Scheffler’s actions carried on, and on…and on.
“If I was the caddie I’d drop the bag and walk off the course,“ one fan insisted.
While another said: “Plot twist: He hit a slight trap draw and is blaming the non existent wind.“
“I mean Scottie needs to chill out. Just not a good look,“ one fan exclaimed.
While others said, “Poor Scottie has to have someone tell him which way the wind is blowing. Spoiled baby is upset because he can’t win this year,“ and, “Weak blaming the caddie, judge the wind yourself. How did he manage the wind & yardages before he had a caddie?“
“Scottie is insufferable at times. Hit the next shot man,“ another fan suggested.
Scottie Scheffler will be fully aware that his behavior on the 16th hole was entirely unacceptable and he most likely apologized to Ted Scott after his opening round at The Memorial.
