Memphis Depay to Arsenal is a prospect that was touted occasionally throughout the summer transfer window.
In June, Sport in Spain reported that the Gunners were keen on bringing Depay in from Barcelona.
Obviously nothing materialised and Arsenal wound up signing Gabriel Jesus instead.
However, the Brazil international is now sidelined until March [Sky Sports] and Kevin Campbell believes that Depay could be considered an option to come to the Emirates Stadium yet again.
He told The Highbury Squad: “Good player. Very good player. Could do a job. Might be an issue – the wages are big. He’s at Barca, isn’t he. It’s one that you could pursue but wages going to be huge.”

Clearly Campbell’s concern is the wage, but he isn’t on insane money at Camp Nou.
According to Salary Sport, Depay is earning around £159,000 per week at Barcelona and although it’s massive money to you or me, it certainly wouldn’t break Arsenal’s bank.
Thing is, he’s available too.
Speculation is mounting that Roma are set to sign the player for only £1.7 million but earlier this week, HITC Sport wrote about how Mikel Arteta and Edu should hijack that deal.
Because quite honestly, that’s an absolute steal, a major bargain.
And with Arsenal needing a low-cost number nine, someone better than Eddie Nketiah to replace Jesus, why not?
