Memphis Depay appears to be on Arsenal’s radar once again.
The Netherlands international was linked with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium this past summer, though he wound up staying at Barcelona.
However, a departure away from Camp Nou seems more than possible in January and Sport reported last month that Arsenal were still interested.
Unfortunately, it looks like a move to Roma is very much on the cards, [Sport, as covered by HITC].
But honestly, Arsenal need to hijack the Italian club’s effort because it would be worth their while.

That’s because the former Manchester United attacker is now available for a bargain price of around £1.7 million [Sport].
Say what you like about Depay flopping in the Premier League once before, but the 28-year-old is a more mature footballer now and for that price, well it’s an absolute no-brainer to see if he can crack English football this time around.
Besides, Arsenal need another figure who can play centrally.
According to Sky Sports, Gabriel Jesus might be missing for the Premier League leaders until March and with Eddie Nketiah failing to score in 12 top-flight outings this season, well more is needed.
And for £1.7 million, what do Arsenal have to lose in going for the Dutchman?
Depay is shining at the World Cup with the Netherlands, who have a quarter-final tie with Argentina tonight, and it would certainly make sense for the North Londoners to throw their hat in the ring, in light of the Jesus blow.
