Former Gunners star Paul Merson has written in The Daily Star that Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window even if they do not finish in the Premier League top four this season.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that Arsenal would be able to attract the Everton striker without Champions League football.
The Sun reported in February that the England international striker is among the players Arsenal are planning to bid for this summer.
Everton reportedly value the 25-year-old at £60 million.
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin tipped to join Arsenal
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Arsenal will have to buy too. But who are they going to get if they’re not in the Champions League? Dominic Calvert-Lewin would still go there.”

Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Arsenal would be able to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Premier League rivals Everton even if they do not end up in the Champions League.
The striker is unlikely to demand European football next season, especially as the Toffees have only just escaped relegated from the Premier League.
There is speculation that Everton are open to selling the Calvert-Lewin, who would probably see a move to Arsenal as a step-up in his career.
We should not be surprised if next season we see Calvert-Lewin in Arsenal colours.
