Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley has made a pitch to former Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
When LeBron James announced his decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, nearly every NBA team was interested in the 41-year-old’s services.
But over the last few days, the contenders have slowly been reduced, with the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, and Philadelphia 76ers remaining in the driving seat.

Saquon Barkley tries to recruit LeBron James to the Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers have already made the blockbuster trade for Jaylen Brown. In addition, they have the dynamic duo of Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid on the roster. Adding James to the mix, the 76ers will instantly become an NBA title favorite next season.
NFL star Saquon Barkley is well aware of this possibility as the Philadelphia Eagles star did his best to recruit the 4x NBA champion to Philly.
“I think it is one of the greatest sports towns in the world. I know Josh Hart said the opposite. I saw that today on Twitter. But I have to disagree with him,” Barkley said.
He added, “If you want to go out with a bang, I feel like a great spot would be in Philly, and bringing a championship to Philadelphia, you’d be remembered forever.”
There’s no doubt that the 76ers have one of the most dedicated fanbases in the entire league and they have been hungry for an NBA Championship since 1983.
If James helps in ending the 43-year drought for the franchise, he’ll instantly become a Philly legend, as Barkley claimed.
