Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that he is surprised that Divock Origi is still at the club.
Klopp has said that he thought that clubs would be lining up to sign Origi from Liverpool in the summer of 2021.
The Liverpool manager has said that if he were at another club, then he would make a bid for the Belgium international striker.
Klopp made the comments about Origi following the £60,000-a-week (Spotrac) striker’s goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.
Liverpool won the match 1-0.

Jurgen Klopp on Divock Origi
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website about Origi: “If I would be in another club I would go for him and I thought that would happen, that’s true, because he didn’t have massive game time.
“But, again, I cannot believe that people think if you don’t play for Liverpool you cannot be good.
“This team is outstanding and if you are our No.12, 13 or 14 you have to be outstanding – and Div is.
“I am very happy that he is still here, actually. I didn’t expect it to happen, but I wouldn’t have been surprised.”

Could Divock Origi leave Liverpool in January?
Klopp clearly rates Origi.
The Liverpool manager also seems to invite other clubs to make moves for the striker.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2022.
Origi has also been linked with a number of clubs, including Newcastle United.
Would Liverpool sell the striker if good offers came?
Probably.
But, those bids will obviously have to satisfy Liverpool.
However, we think that Klopp will surely want to keep hold of the striker for the rest of the season.
Especially when he can come off the bench and score winners.
Like he did against Wolves.
