Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Football (10:24pm, April 4, 2022) that he could change his mind about Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Again.

The former Liverpool defender said on Monday Night Football that he thinks that Arsenal will finish fourth in the Premier League table ahead of bitter North London rivals Tottenham.

This despite the Gunners going down 3-0 to Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in the Premier League last night.

The Sky Sports pundit has said that a few weeks ago he thought that Tottenham would finish fourth, but he has now backed Arsenal to clinch the final Champions League spot.

However, Carragher has said that he could change his mind again.

Jamie Carragher on Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

Carragher said on Sky Sports Football (10:24pm, April 4, 2022): “I think two or three months ago I was asked the question on this show, and I actually said Tottenham at the time.

“But I said Arsenal yesterday. I will probably go back to Tottenham. It changes all the time.”

The Sky Sports pundit added, as transcribed TheBootRoom: “I think it’s a bad night for Arsenal. The way they’ve lost not just the three points.

“But I think it’s very important they don’t sort of panic and there’s no hysteria. They’re still in a really good position, a better position than Tottenham and Manchester United.

“They’ve just won five away games on the bounce, 15 out of 18 away from home, they’d have took that.”

Top-four battle

In our opinion, Arsenal are in a better position than Tottenham at the moment. to finish in the Premier League top four this season.

However, the Gunners need to step up their game and have to bounce back from the loss to Palace.

Now, of course, any team can lose football matches, but against Palace, Arsenal really lacked creativity and made defensive mistakes.

The Selhurst Park faithful made it tough for the Arsenal players, who also struggled against the attacking style of the Palace team
