Anton Ferdinand has said on talkSPORT (6:40pm, July 3, 2022) that he wants David Moyes’s West Ham United to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham, a player Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea sold last summer.
The former West Ham central defender has said that the Hammers should have signed Abraham before he joined AS Roma from Chelsea in the summer of 2021.
As reported by Sky Sports at the time, Roma paid £34 million in transfer fees for the England international striker.
West Ham are interested in Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer, according to 90min.
And Ferdinand has said that if the Hammers are unable to sign the 20-year-old Albania international striker, also linked with Leeds United and Newcastle United, then they should make a move for Abraham.

West Ham United urged to sign former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham
Ferdinand said on talkSPORT (6:40pm, July 3, 2022): “If they can’t get him (Broja), I would like to go and get Tammy Abraham.
“I think we are at the level where we can go and get him. I would like to see that. We should have got him before he went to Roma, I think.”
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, West Ham United are unlikely to be able to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old seems happy Roma, who won the UEFA Conference League last season and will play in the UEFA Europa League in 2022-23.
Under former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho, Roma will be looking to finish in the top four of Serie A next season.
And, we think that it is unlikely that Roma will entertain any offers for Abraham, unless, of course, they are too good to turn down.
The 24-year-old scored 17 goals and gave four assists in 36 Serie A starts last season.
