Tammy Abraham has been caught on video jokingly(?) saying to Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold that he will join Jurgen Klopp’s side next season, as quoted on talkSPORT.

The AS Roma striker was caught on video making the comments to Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold during an England training session.

Abraham, who has been linked with Arsenal and Newcastle United among other clubs, made the comments after an intense training session in the build-up to England’s game against Hungary on Saturday.

As reported by talkSPORT, Alexander-Arnold set up the winning goal to beat Abraham’s side in a mini five-a-side game in the training session.

The £112,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker said in the video, as transcribed by talkSPORT: “Trent, good luck, I’m joining you guys next season.”

Could a transfer happen?

Now, there are no credible rumours that Liverpool are interested in signing Tammy Abraham from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.

However, you just never know.

Liverpool are known to sign players without the media getting to know until it is almost done.

The signings of Thiago and Luis Diaz were done quite quickly without rumours getting pasted all over the internet.

So, maybe, just maybe, something could happen between Liverpool and Abraham.

Sadio Mane reportedly wants to leave, and Abraham could replace him.

The former Chelsea man is a ‘proper’ striker who would make Liverpool better and give Klopp a valuable option in attack.

Abraham scored 17 goals and gave four assists in Serie A, and found the back of the net three times in seven Conference League games for Roma this past season.
