Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been waxing-lyrical about reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho, claiming that one of the big clubs needs to go and sign him up.

Sancho has been making waves in Germany for years at this point, and Ferdinand believes that he has what it takes to be a star in the Premier League.

“It’s blasphemy, anyone talking about Sancho saying they’re not sure about him being in the squad, look at the stats I put in the group please. For the third season on the spin, he’s put in 30 plus goal involvements. This is a 21-year-old kid, I don’t care where he’s playing. It is ridiculous, the kid is the real deal and someone like Man United or whoever, one of the top teams has to go and get this boy, he brings the playground to the stadiums,” Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand isn’t wrong about Sancho, he does bring the playground to the stadium.

He’s quick and he’s tricky, and while he’s unproven at Premier League level, he’s been doing the business in the Bundesliga for quite some time now.

Of course, we’ve seen plenty of players fail to make the transition from German football to English football, but Ferdinand doesn’t seem to think that Sancho will suffer from the same fate.

Liverpool are reportedly keen on Sancho, and while it remains to be seen whether or not they bring him in, it is certainly an interesting prospect.
