Sumaila was linked with a move to Rangers after his former boss Pedro Caixinha took the reins at Ibrox last month.

Reported Glasgow Rangers target Rashid Sumaila is keen on a move to Ibrox, it seems.
The Ghanaian is said to be on Pedro Caixinha’s summer shortlist having played under the Rangers manager on loan at Al-Gharafa this season [Daily Record].
And with his contract at parent club Al-Qadsia set to expire this summer, Sumaila appears to be eyeing his next move.
One fan sent a message to the centre-back on Twitter, which read: “hope to see you at rangers, you are a very strong player and a great tackler of the ball”.
To which Hackman Abraham, who claims to represent Sumaila, replied: “He will surely join such a great club and help the club to make histories”.
When the fan responded: “Let’s hope it’s Rangers”, Abraham reiterated: “He will gladly join You Guys”.
Of course, Abraham could be anyone, although the fact that Sumaila proceeded to ‘like’ the three most recent tweets in the conversation appears to validate his claim.

Rangers are expected to move on centre-back Philippe Senderos at the end of his contract this summer, while the futures of fellow stoppers Clint Hill and Rob Kiernan remain uncertain.
It remains to be seen whether or not Sumaila, whose last of six Ghana caps came in 2014, would be granted a work permit to play in Scottish football.
