Rangers secured a huge win in the Scottish Premiership as Steven Gerrard’s side claimed a 2-1 win over Hibernian.
The Edinburgh giants took an early lead through Kevin Nisbet before a red card to Ryan Portieus turned the game on its head. It took some time, but Rangers were able to bounce back against Hibs.
Goals from Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos were enough to secure a huge three points for the reigning Scottish champions. The result consolidated Rangers’ place at the top of the table.
With the international break beginning this week, the result was much-needed for Gerrard’s side. Rangers have been in sloppy form in both domestic and continental competitions.
Yet this win over a high-flying Hibernian was exactly what Rangers needed. And for Nathan Patterson, it was another excellent performance from the teenager.
The defender, who was linked with a £10m move to Everton over the summer as per the Scottish Sun, made the key assist to Roofe for Rangers’ opening goal of the day.
