It is not only celebrities who have come out to watch the action, however.
Indeed, Infantino has now been spotted with one of Donald Trump’s most high-profile cabinet members.
Infantino spotted with Marco Rubio at FIFA World Cup 2026 match
Marco Rubio is the 72nd US Secretary of State.
Born in Miami to Cuban parents, he was appointed to the role in January 2025.
Rubio was spotted at the Miami Stadium to watch Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal take on Colombia in an enthralling 0-0 draw.
While the fans in the crowd were not treated to any goals, few games at this year’s World Cup have been quite as entertaining as that one.
According to the Miami Herald, Rubio was seen being dropped off at the Miami Stadium shortly after 7pm EDT to a security detail at one of the stadium’s side entrances.
He was then spotted alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and Infantino during the action.

Rubio was previously spotted attending the USMNT’s win over Paraguay in Los Angeles earlier in the tournament.
Trump has so far not attended a game at this year’s World Cup but could appear at the final in New York on July 19 to hand the iconic trophy to the winners at the MetLife Stadium.
It remains to be seen if the president attends a game before that, however.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was seen at his country’s win over Qatar in Vancouver, but Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said she will not be at any games to draw attention to the high cost of tickets.
