Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that Manchester City have made a record-breaking £100m offer for Jack Grealish.
There has been so much speculation about Grealish’s future this summer, especially after he lit up Euro 2020, and now it seems as though Manchester City are upping the ante in their pursuit.
£100m would make Grealish the most expensive signing in Premier League history, surpassing the £89m spent on Paul Pogba back in 2016, and as you can imagine, this update has sparked a reaction from Villa fans.
Understandably, Villa fans are worried about their captain leaving. Grealish is their hero and their talisman, and without him, they’d be a much weaker outfit.
However, £100m is a £100m, and there’s a lot you can do with that money, so this is a bid that Villa need to consider very carefully.
