Some Leeds United fans on social media have been raving over Tyler Roberts after his performance against Southampton on Tuesday evening.
The Wales international put in an impressive display, grabbing an assist and showing a lot of desire to attack whenever he got onto the ball.
The youngster has found first-team football hard to come by this season due to the emergence of Rodrigo after the Spaniard was signed this summer, but an injury to the former Valencia man has seen him drafted into the starting XI as of late, and he’s certainly taking his chance.
Indeed, Whites supporters came out in their droves on social media to give Roberts credit for this performance.
It’s great to see the young man doing well, it wasn’t too long ago that the possibility of him going out on loan was being discussed, but now he’s starring in the starting XI at Leeds.
We can only hope the 22-year-old can continue to improve at this rate, and if he does, it won’t be long before he’s challenging Rodrigo for a regular starting spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s XI.
