
Some Rangers fans on social media have been reacting after Jose Mourinho was announced as the new Roma manager just weeks after being approached by Celtic.
The Scottish outfit reportedly made an approach to Mourinho not long after he joined Spurs, and while some Bhoys supporters got their hopes up of appointing the two-time Champions League winner, it seems as though that move is now off the table.
As you can imagine, this news has sparked a reaction from Celtic fans, but also from Rangers supporters.
Indeed, it seems as though some Rangers supporters were rather relieved that Mourinho wouldn’t be joining their biggest rivals, while others were quite happy to mock Celtic for failing to land one of their top targets.
One supporter made a very interesting point about how relieved Steven Gerrard must be, claiming that Mourinho would have the upper hand in the mind games if he came to Glasgow after the Rangers boss’ infamous slip against Mourinho’s Chelsea back in 2014.
