Gary Neville has told Sky Sports that Manchester United will sell Jesse Lingard amid reported interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will let Lingard leave for good in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old, on loan at West Ham United at the moment, has been linked with a move to Arsenal.
The Sun reported last month that Arsenal manager Arteta wants to bring the England international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, to the Emirates Stadium.
The report added that Arsenal are planning to make a bid for Lingard, who earns £110,000 per week as salary.
Former United defender Neville told Sky Sports: “There’s a feeling that Jesse Lingard, having done really well at West Ham, could come back, but I think Ole will say ‘no’ and tell him to go and explore elsewhere.”
Lingard struggled to play for United in the first half of the season, but he is a star at West Ham now.
The attacker has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 13 Premier League games, as the Hammers remain in the hunt for a Champions League place.

Although Arsenal do have a good attacking unit on paper, Lingard is quite appealing.
The Englishman is showing what he is capable of at the Hammers if he is given an extended run in the team.
Willian has not had the best of seasons, while Nicolas Pepe has been rather inconsistent.
Lingard could be an alternative to them on the wing, or he could replace Martin Odegaard in the team and play alongside or instead of Emile Smith Rowe in attacking midfield.
Odegaard is on loan from Real Madrid and is scheduled to go back to the Spanish giants at the end of the season.
