Gary Neville has given his verdict on Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo after watching him in action against Luton Town.
The former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit has noted what is different about Mainoo from the rest of the players in Erik ten Hag’s side.
So, what has Gary Neville said about Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo? Let’s take a look.
Gary Neville makes note on Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo
Well, Manchester United beat Luton Town 2-1 away from home in the Premier League on Sunday. Rasmus Hojlund scored both goals for the Red Devils.
Hojlund found the back of the net in the first minute and then on seven minutes. Carlton Morris scored for Luton on 14 minutes.
It was not very easy for United to get the win against Luton, who had a spell in the first half when they could have scored again.

Former United defender Gary Neville was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports, and he noticed that when the Red Devils were having a bad spell, Kobbie Mainoo was the only player who played with calm and looked composed.
Mainoo was very good for the Red Devils in the middle of the park, had good control of the ball, and showed some great footwork.
Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (5:15 pm, February 18, 2024): “The only player, Mainoo, that, in bad periods of the game for United, still plays with composure, the only one.”
My View: Kobbie Mainoo is a Manchester United gem
In my opinion, Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is a gem of a player. I believe that the teenager is a star in the making.
Mainoo is only 18 now, but he is already becoming a regular in the United starting lineup. And, he is playing well.
The youngster, who could soon make his debut for the England senior team, is a very good and dynamic midfielder who can protect the back-four and also drive the team forward. Oh, he can score great goals too.
Mainoo has scored one goal in 11 Premier League appearances for United this season. The midfielder also made two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League and played twice in the FA Cup for the Red Devils this campaign.
