Gary Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:37pm, February 15, 2021) that the next four or five weeks will be crucial in Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur future.

The former Manchester United star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that the upcoming weeks will show whether Tottenham head coach Mourinho is able to get his team on the up or whether things could get ugly like at his previous clubs.

Neville was alluding to how things ended for Mourinho at Chelsea and Manchester United in recent years when the Portuguese parted company after the teams struggled.

The Englishman said about Mourinho on Sky Sports Premier League (7:37pm, February 15, 2021): “I think his interviews still are good at Tottenham. I think the other night he looked a little bit tired towards the end.

“He is in that moment in his Tottenham career where the next four or five weeks will determine whether we see what we have seen with Jose at his last couple of clubs or we see that, no, actually, he can change.”

Staying positive

Tottenham are not playing well and are also not getting results, and one can understand why fans are frustrated.

However, Spurs supporters should have faith in Mourinho, who is a serial winner and knows how to get the best out of his players.

Tottenham are very much in the race for the Champions League places in the Premier League table and have the EFL Cup final to look forward to as well.

Spurs are still in the Europa League, and that’s another trophy they can win this season.
