Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is said to have paid £1.8 million to bring Grezda to Ibrox.

Eros Grezda is getting very close to a first start for Rangers, according to the Ibrox assistant manager Gary McAllister.
Grezda, for whom Rangers paid a reported £1.8 million in the summer transfer window, has only played 83 minutes of football, spanning four substitute appearances, in Gers colours.
But speaking via Rangers’ official Youtube channel on Friday, McAllister claimed the Croatian winger is growing in confidence.
“There’s definitely, for me, visually, watching the training, and being around him now, there’s a confidence and a little bit of a swagger coming into his play, which we saw when we were watching him to begin with, before we brought him here (from NK Osijek).
“So I see a player that’s getting very, very close now. He’s certainly shown more confidence around the building and on the training pitch, and I’m pleased for him because he’s an exciting player.”

Asked why Grezda has struggled for game time since joining Rangers, McAllister, who was standing in for Steven Gerrard, replied: “There’s that (the injury he was carrying prior to his arrival).
“Watching clips when he played at Osijek, the thing that stands out when you watch them play there is nobody there – there’s nobody watching. All of a sudden he’s come to a place where there’s 55,000. It’s different.”
McAllister went on to state that Rangers are looking for more from their wide and central midfield players, as they try to ease the burden on Alfredo Morelos, who has scored or assisted 21 of the 44 goals scored by Gerrard’s side this season.
