Tottenham Hotspur had to dig deep this afternoon – very deep.

Antonio Conte’s side displayed a whole lot of resillience in coming from two goals down to win 3-2 away to Bournemouth.

Spurs were losing 2-0 by the 50-minute mark following a brace from Kieffer Moore.

But goals from Ryan Sessegnon, Ben Davies and a last-gasp winner from Rodrigo Bentancur turned the encounter on its head.

Here’s how Gary Lineker reacted to the come-from-behind victory on Twitter:

What a massive player Bentancur is developing into for the Lilywhites.

In midweek, the former Juventus midfielder scored a rare header to rescue a point for Tottenham in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon.

He is really blossoming into a goalscorer under Conte and from the North Londoners’ perspective, long may it last.

With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min struggling today, Tottenham needed influence from elsewhere and credit to Sessegnon, Davies and the Uruguay international for providing it.

It was a massive win for the Lilywhites because with Newcastle United hammering Aston Villa 4-0, Eddie Howe’s side would’ve leapfrogged their capital counterparts into third in the Premier League table.
