Gabriel Agbonlahor has given his verdict on who between Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will finish fourth in the Premier League table this season.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are in the Premier League title race, while the Villans and Spurs are looking to end up fourth.
So, what has Gabriel Agbonlahor said about Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa? Let’s take a look.
Tottenham Hotspur backed to beat Aston Villa to fourth place
Well, Gabriel Agbonlahor has been speaking about the race for the fourth and final UEFA Champions League spot in the Premier League table this season.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are first, second and third respectively in the standings. It is very likely that one of them will win the league this season, probably City.
Aston Villa, who wanted to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea in the January transfer window, are fourth now. Unai Emery’s side are three points behind third-placed Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur are fifth. Ange Postecoglou’s team have picked up 44 points from 23 games.
Former Villa striker and talkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor has given his reasons as to why Spurs will end up fourth ahead of the Villans.

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT: “It’s going to come down to injury, fatigue, playing in Europe, Spurs aren’t playing in Europe, it’s going to help them. Both cups, we have got extra games, replay on Wednesday against them Chelsea at home, still in the Europa Conference League.
“Some of these players have looked tired in recent weeks, they need a little bit of a rest, that’s what they had, with that January rest they had.
“I think they can, but I think they will miss out to Spurs. I do think once Bissouma and Son are back, you have got Maddison in there as well. I just think Spurs will get that fourth place. I think Villa will finish fifth, though.”
My View: Tottenham will finish fourth, not Aston Villa
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur will finish fourth in the Premier League table this season ahead of Aston Villa.
Villa are doing much better than anyone thought. They are exceeding expectations and have a very good squad.
However, Spurs have a better squad. They have also coped with injury, suspensions and unavailability well in recent weeks.
James Maddison has only recently returned from a spell on the sidelines, Cristian Romero had suspension issues, and Micky van de Ven was injured.
Tottenham coped well. Son Heung-min is away on international duty, and so is Yves Bissouma. Spurs are doing well without them.
Just imagine how good and strong Tottenham will be when Ange Postecoglou has everyone available.
