Aston Villa have been criticised by football fans across the globe after they announced their prices for their upcoming Champions League games.
For the first time in 41 years, Champions League football is coming to Villa Park after Aston Villa’s incredible Premier League campaign that saw them finish fourth in the table.
Villa will host four games in the new-look league phase, taking on Bayern Munich, Juventus, Celtic, and Bologna but excitement has turned to anger after the club released information on the price fans would have to pay.

How much are Aston Villa’s Champions League tickets?
Released on Wednesday, Villa fans won’t be able to secure an adult ticket for any cheaper than £85 (or £70 if you’re a season ticket holder) whereas the most expensive seats, which are located next to the directors’ box, are priced at £97 (£82 for season ticket holders).
Zone one and zone two tickets will set supporters back by £94 (£79 for season ticket orders) while zone three and zone four will be £85 (£70 for season ticket holders).
An Under 18s ticket in zone one will also be £94 (£79 for season ticket holders) however the remainder of the ground will be £30 (£20 for season ticket holders).
In comparison, Liverpool’s most expensive Champions League ticket is £61 and that will guarantee you a place in the main stand.
Other adult tickets are as low as £9 in the main stand upper at Anfield, with all other age categories also charged this price in this area.
Aston Villa accused of pricing out fans for Champions League home ties
The news sparked plenty of angry reactions from Villa supporters. One of those who voiced his frustrations was Villa icon Gabriel Agbonlahor, who called on the club to “do better”.
Writing on X, he said: “I have to say tickets for the Champions League are very expensive for loyal fans! Family of four nearly £400. Club has to do better.”
Agbonlahor wasn’t the only one, as fans also vented their frustrations.
This user said: “These ticket prices are disgraceful. Liverpool’s most expensive CL tickets are £60. How not to reward season ticket holder’s loyalty over the years by fleecing them for all their worth for the one year we are in the Champions League.
“A disgrace to the loyal fans who came when were absolutely not worth watching, fix up,” exclaimed another.
Other fans also chimed in, with this user adding: “Disgraceful. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You’ve let your fans down big time!
“Scandalous, added another.
