West Ham United and Everton were linked with moves for the 19-year-old.

After months of speculation, it appears Eupen’s Henry Onyekuru has finally found his next club.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Everton have won the race to sign the Nigerian, ahead of Arsenal, and plan to send him to Anderlecht on loan this coming campaign.

Onyekuru lit up the Belgian top flight last season, and the pair weren’t the only ones to be linked with his services, with The Daily Mail previously listing West Ham United as favourites to land him.

But Hammers fans have been left with that all-too-familiar feeling, as they await confirmation of their club’s failure at the hands of Everton.

It is not the first time that West Ham have been strongly linked with an exciting player such as Onyekuru, nor is it the first time they have been left empty-handed.

Unsurprisingly then, the news has prompted a furious response from within the east London club’s fanbase, much of which is being aimed in the direction of West Ham co-chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan.
