Sunderland have reached an agreement to bring Edouard Michut from Paris Saint-Germain to the Stadium of Light in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Sunderland in the Championship in England will sign Michut from defending Ligue 1 champions PSG initially on a loan deal.

There is a buy-clause in the contract as well, according to Romano.

The Italian journalist has added that Michut is now at the Stadium of Light to watch his new team in action.

Sunderland are taking on Norwich City at the Stadium of Light in the Championship at the moment.

It seems that Sunderland have beaten Scottish Premiership giants Celtic to the signature of the 19-year-old French midfielder.

Interestingly, defending Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have also been linked with Michut.

Sky Sports reported in July that Celtic were planning to make a bid of £2 million for Michut.

Sunderland about to sign Edouard Michut from Paris Saint-Germain

Edouard Michut made five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for PSG last season, and played once in the league for the French giants in 2020-21.

Michut, a France Under-19 international midfielder, is a good player who will make Sunderland better in the middle of the park.
