Fulham had high hopes for striker Mika Biereth, but he has chosen to leave for Arsenal as he prepares to switch West London for North London.
Biereth was outstanding last season, smashing 21 goals and 13 assists in just 21 Under-18 Premier League appearances.
The 18-year-old’s ridiculous form sparked interest, and whilst Fulham offered him a professional contract to stay at the club, he has turned them down.
The Athletic report that Biereth has decided to sign for Arsenal, with the Gunners paying an undisclosed compensation fee to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.
With Folarin Balogun set to feature around the first team more regularly this season and Nikolaj Moller heading on loan to Viktoria Koln, Biereth could now become an Under-23 regular for Arsenal.
That’s an exciting prospect for Arsenal given Biereth’s unbelievable record last season, but spare a thought for Fulham fans.

They lost top talent Harvey Elliott to Liverpool in 2019, and have now lost Biereth to Arsenal in a deal that has left fans gutted.
Fulham supporters have been taking to Twitter to react to the news, suggesting it’s ‘diabolical’ and a ‘big loss’ given the future Biereth has ahead of him.
Others think the move has come too early for Biereth, but the general consensus is that Arsenal have landed a real talent here.
