Arsenal have moved to snap up Fulham’s teenage striker Mika Biereth as they again look to plan for the future under Mikel Arteta.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that the Gunners have already completed the signing of Biereth despite no such confirmation at this stage.

Biereth, 18, was offered a professional contract at Fulham but decided to reject it, instead preferring to sign for London rivals Arsenal.

Arsenal have allowed young striker Nikolaj Moller to join German side Viktoria Koln on loan, whilst Folarin Balogun is expected to spend more time around the first team this season.

That means there is a potential opening for a striker to play regularly for Arsenal’s Under-23’s this season, and that’s where Biereth could feature.

Biereth was absolutely unbelievable for Fulham’s Under-18’s last season, smashing 23 goals and 15 assists in 33 appearances.

The Gunners will have to pay compensation for Biereth, but it’s unclear just how much they will have to pay for the Fulham hitman.

This looks to be an immensely exciting addition for Arsenal over the coming years, and whilst he may not play Premier League football this coming season, Biereth is one to keep an eye on having made his big move to North London.
