Speaking on the Five YouTube channel, Anton Ferdinand has been discussing Jeremy Doku amid continued links to Newcastle United and Liverpool.
The Magpies are seemingly in the market for a new exciting winger this summer, and Doku is one player that they’ve scouted extensively for quite some time.
Doku has also caught the attention of Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp has reportedly highlighted him as Sadio Mane’s eventual replacement.
Ferdinand believes that Doku is a fantastic player, complimenting his pace and power on the ball.
What’s been said?
Ferdinand spoke about Doku.
“I really really like Jeremy Doku, I really like him. The pace and power of this kid is frightening and he knows those are his main attributes, and he uses it at every opportunity,” Ferdinand said.
“This is a copy and paste league and I think you’re looking at the next Adama Traore,” Ferdinand’s co-host said.
Ferdinand agreed with that view, but he stated that Doku has a better end product than Traore.
“There you go, but I would say he has a better end product than Traore. I just think this kid, you can see why the Belgian team love him and why Lukaku loves to play with him.”

Made for the Premier League
To us, it sounds like Doku is ready-made for the Premier League.
A fast, strong and tricky winger who has an end product? It looks like Doku would be a star at either Newcastle or Liverpool.
Could you imagine Doku lining up on the wings alongside Allan Saint-Maximin? The Magpies’ attack would be truly frightening.
Of course, a move to Liverpool may be more alluring on the surface, but with Mane, Mo Salah and Luis Diaz all starring on the wings, Doku could get more minutes at Newcastle.
It remains to be seen if either of those clubs make their move for the Belgian this summer.
