Angel Di Maria did not have the best of times at Manchester United, but the winger became a legend at Paris Saint-Germain, and there is no surprise that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign him on a free transfer this summer.
Angel Di Maria linked with Tottenham Hotspur
According to Calciomercato in April, Tottenham are among the clubs interested in signing Di Maria in the summer transfer window.
The 34-year-old Argentina international winger is leaving PSG this summer and is available on a free transfer.
Tottenham will play in the Champions League next season, and a player of Di Maria’s quality and experience would enhance the North London club’s chances of making an impact in the European competition.
Di Maria gave a record 118 assists for PSG.
The former Real Madrid star, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, scored 92 goals for PSG.

Di Maria won the Portuguese league title once with Benfica, La Liga and the Champions League once each with Real Madrid, and the Ligue 1 title on five occasions with PSG.
Now, while we think that Di Maria would be a good signing for Tottenham on a free transfer, it seems that the Argentine’s first-choice club is not Spurs.
Winger offered to Atletico Madrid
ESPN have reported that Di Maria has been offered to Real Madrid’s city rivals Atletico Madrid on a free transfer.
Interestingly, Di Maria’s former Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale has also been offered to Atletico, according to the report.
Bale has been linked with a return to Tottenham this summer.
ESPN have reported that Atletico have turned down the chance to sign Di Maria.
Maybe, just maybe, the winger will now be offered to Tottenham.
