The Chronicle are reporting today that reported Leeds United target Freddie Woodman is leaving for Bournemouth.
What’s the story?
According to The Chronicle, Woodman is ‘already heading’ for Championship club Bournemouth.
The same publication had earlier claimed that Leeds are interested in signing the 24-year-old English goalkeeper this summer.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s initial cash bid had been turned down, but they are still interested.
Bournemouth want to sign Woodman on loan.
It now seems that the Cherries have won the race for the goalkeeper.
Leeds United missing out
Of course, you cannot be certain that Woodman will join Bournemouth until he signs on the dotted line.
But, based on The Chronicle‘s report today, it does appear that Leeds will miss out on him.

Should Leeds be disappointed?
Probably, as Woodman is a very good goalkeeper who showed during his loan spell at Swansea City over the past two years what he is capable of.
The Swans reached the Championship playoffs, and Woodman was a big reason why.
However, Woodman was going to be a back-up to Illan Meslier, who is the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds.
Leeds will surely be able to find another back-up goalkeeper, if indeed they miss out on Woodman.
