Eintracht Frankfurt have offered Filip Kostic a new deal to stop him from going to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Bild.

The German publication has reported that Frankfurt have offered Kostic a new contract worth £4 million per year (£77,000 per week).

The London Evening Standard reported on May 30 that despite signing winger/wing-back Ivan Perisic on a free transfer following his exit from Inter Milan, Tottenham are keen on adding Kostic to their squad.

The 29-year-old can operate as a winger or left wing-back and is out of contract at German club Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

Tottenham Hotspur don’t need Filip Kostic

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur do not need to sign Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Kostic is a good left-sided player who is at the top of his game at the moment, but Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has options at left wing-back.

Perisic is likely to be a regular starter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and there is also Ryan Sessegnon.

And let’s not forget Sergio Reguilon.

Do Tottenham really need to sign another left-winger/left wing-back?

In our view, no,, they do not.
