Bordeaux forward Alberth Elis has told El Heraldo that he wants to play in the Premier League, amid speculation that Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United are interested in signing him in the summer transfer window.
L’Equipe reported this week that Leeds are interested in signing Elis from Bordeaux.

The 26-year-old Honduras international forward has said that his dream is to play in the Premier League.
However, Elis has refused to say if he will move to Leeds this summer.

Elis told El Heraldo when asked about his future at Bordeaux: “For now I have a contract with the team, I have to respect it.
“I am very grateful to them for the support they gave me, for the way they received me when I arrived in France.
“My dream has always been to play in the English league and I hope that it can happen.”
When asked if he is going to Leeds, the forward said: “In football, rumours are worthless because if at the end of the day the signing of a contract is not confirmed, there is nothing.
“I have had to live this year after year, practically every year they place me every time the season ends and I have learned to take things calmly. If the opportunity comes to me, I will be prepared.”
Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Leeds United could sign Alberth Elis from Bordeaux in the summer transfer window.
Leeds struggled in front of goal this past season, with England international striker Patrick Bamford having injury problems.
It is clear that the West Yorkshire club need more firepower upfront.
Elis is a versatile forward player who can play as a central striker, out wide or in a deeper attacking midfield role.
The 26-year-old made 16 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Bordeaux this past season.
Elis scored nine goals and gave one assist in those matches.
If Leeds make a good offer to Bordeaux, then they could be able to sign Elis.
