According to a report from Eurosport back in March, Everton are interested in signing VfB Stuttgart forward Silas Wamangituka.
Toffees scouts have apparently been left impressed by the Congolese attacker, who made a real impact in the Bundesliga this season.
In 25 appearances, Wamangituka scored 11 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
The 21-year-old could’ve been involved in even more goals, but sadly, he suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury against Bayern Munich.
While that is unfortunate, Wamangituka is very young, and will hopefully have many more fruitful years of goalscoring once he’s fully recovered.
Recently, it was announced that – despite missing some games – the Everton target had won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award.
The award is effectively the equivalent of the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year award.

It goes to the best Under-23 player in Germany’s top-flight.
Wamangituka looks a real gem – Everton have to sign him
Wamangituka looks like a complete and utter wonderkid, who Everton have to sign before the rest of Europe becomes aware of him.
The Kinshasa-born speedster won the Rookie of the Month award for November, December and February to go with his Rookie of the Season crown.
Interestingly, the Bundesliga’s official website also compared the £7 million forward to Cristiano Ronaldo.

They wrote about how Wamangituka’s striker-like playing style – despite the fact he’s a winger – is similar to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s style.
His pace, dribbling ability and goalscoring knack were also mentioned as comparable traits.
Everton must get him – Wamangituka is the next big thing, in our view.
