Yesterday, Villarreal recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Valencia in La Liga, where Tottenham loanee Giovani Lo Celso had another outstanding game.
What’s the story?
Well, the 26-year-old has been a revelation since teaming up with Unai Emery in January, shining for the Spanish outfit.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Lo Celso is expected to be sold by Antonio Conte in the summer, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that Villarreal will open negotiations at the end of the season.
If the Argentine keeps performing like this, those talks should be quite straightforward for Tottenham, as Villarreal will be desperate to keep him.
As WhoScored shows, the South American had two shots last night, while also recording one key pass.

Lo Celso also completed three successful dribbles, and didn’t shirk his defensive responsibilities as he made three tackles as well.
The Tottenham loanee also completed six long-range passes from an attempted six, before receiving a standing ovation when Emery withdrew him in the 70th minute.
Clearly, the former Paris Saint-Germain maestro is having a great time in Spain, which should hopefully see Spurs receive a decent fee this summer.
Tottenham were unlucky with Giovani Lo Celso
Clearly, the Argentina international is a quality player.
After all, you don’t earn the Man of the Match award in a Champions League Quarter-Final against Bayern Munich if you aren’t.

Unfortunately, things just didn’t work out in N17, as Lo Celso found himself playing in a range of different managerial styles, and also suffered a lot of injuries.
Sometimes, the right player can be signed at the wrong time, which seems to be the case for Tottenham and Lo Celso.
