Leeds United have wrapped up a deal for Aapo Halme.

Leeds United have completed a deal for Aapo Halme, with the defender clinching his move to the club.
He becomes the club’s second signing of the transfer window, following Yosuke Ideguchi.
HITC Sport first reported Leeds’ interest in the young centre-back last June.

Here are five facts about Halme…
1) Halme stands out on the pitch due to his height. He is 6ft 4″ tall and should dominate opponents aerially in Leeds’ under-23 team.
2) The 19-year-old has represented Finland at under-19 level four times, and has also been called into the under-21 squad.
3) Already he has racked up 53 first team appearances, which have included games played in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
4) Halme’s contract at HJK was set to run until December 2018, meaning HJK Helsinki were near the point where they must cash in, allowing Leeds to swoop for just £500,000.
5) Halme has played alongside former Leeds defender Sebastian Sorsa at HJK, with the pair crossing paths in the 2016 season. Sorsa signed for Leeds in 2008 but couldn’t establish himself. He now plays for Kuopion Palloseura.
